AIM stickers for seafood menu items
If your menu includes prawns, squid, fish, crab, mussels or other seafood, customers need to see the seafood origin before they order. Apply waterproof A / I / M stickers to your existing printed menu instead of rushing a full menu reprint.
What does AIM mean?
A = Australian seafood
I = Imported seafood
M = Mixed origin seafood
Printed by Day Print in Sydney. Posted Australia-wide.
What is the AIM rule?
It's the law
From 1 July 2026, restaurants, cafés, pubs, clubs, takeaways and food trucks across Australia must show the origin of every seafood dish they serve — on the menu or display board.
One letter per dish
The simplest approved method: a letter next to each seafood item — A = Australian, I = Imported, M = Mixed origin — plus a small key explaining the letters. This set helps you add those labels to your printed menu quickly.
Accuracy matters
The rule is an information standard under the Australian Consumer Law. Your labels should match the origin information from suppliers and stay up to date when your seafood source changes.
Official guidance: business.gov.au — seafood labelling
Day Print supplies printed stickers and signs. Your business is responsible for confirming seafood origin with suppliers, keeping required records, and updating printed and digital menus accurately.

Questions, answered
When does the law start? +
The rules become mandatory on 1 July 2026. You can start labelling your menu now — many venues already have.
Do I need the legend (key) on my menu? +
Yes. If you use single letters (A, I, M) you must also show what the letters mean. Every set includes Seafood Origin Key labels in multiple layouts to help you display the required legend.
What size are the stickers? +
The standard size is 6 mm — small enough to sit neatly next to each dish on a printed menu while staying easy to read. Need a different size for display boards or compact menus? Just reply to your order confirmation email and we will print your preferred size at the same price.
How many A, I and M stickers are in the set? +
The Starter Kit includes 1,800 stickers total: 600 A, 600 I and 600 M labels, plus Seafood Origin Key labels in multiple layouts.
How fast is delivery? +
We print and post within 2 business days, Australia-wide. Shipping is included in the price.
Do I also need to update online menus and delivery apps? +
Yes. The official guidance says origin information must be clear before customers order, including printed menus, online menus, menu boards, websites and apps.
What if my seafood supplier changes origin? +
Your labels need to stay accurate. For short-term supply changes, official guidance says venues can use temporary signs, removable stickers or another written method, and update digital menus too.
Do Thai restaurants need AIM seafood labels? +
Yes, if the venue serves ready-to-eat dishes marketed as containing seafood, such as prawns, squid, fish, crab, mussels, roe or similar seafood ingredients.
Who is Day Print? +
A family-run print shop in Sydney. We print menus, stickers and signage for hundreds of restaurants across Australia.
